A neighbour heard the internationally renowned fashion designer, Dexta 3D Pottinger, screaming for help at approximately 4:30 on Wednesday, morning.
Cries for “help” and “murder” echoed from the St. Andrew, two-story Yarico dwelling of Pottinger, around 4:30 Wednesday morning, and sometime later, a car drove away from the designer’s house.
One neighbour reportedly said she did not raise an alarm because she was uncertain of what was happening inside Pottinger’s home.
On Thursday evening, crime-scene investigators were greeted with the gruesome sight of Pottinger’s body with multiple wounds and lying face down in his bedroom.
Inspector P Campbell of the St Andrew North Police who was at the scene of the murder said; “Blood was splattered everywhere.”
As the news circulated about the death of Pottinger; scores of individuals gathered in close proximity to his home on Thursday afternoon.
In the meantime, Inspector Campbell could not state what was used to inflict the wounds and said that more information would be available after the scene-of-crime personnel completed their examination.
The Inspector did not disclose whether any information is forthcoming as the probe continues into the death of Dexta 3D Pottinger.
Several individuals are outraged at the death of Pottinger and some people have taken to social media to express their disbelief and condemnation as well as to share their tribute to the very talented designer.
