Irregularities discovered during the scanning of a shipment of dolls that was destined for London, England led to major cocaine seizure.
While conducting a routine processing of a shipment warehouse at the Norman Manley International Airport on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, members of the Jamaica Customs team discovered that dolls made in Jamaican colours which were destined for London, England contained the illicit drug, cocaine.
The cocaine that was seized is said to have an estimated street value of $598,500.
The Jamaica Custom officers alerted law enforcers from the narcotics department about the findings and they have since launched a probe into the incident.
